The nationally recognised practice provides wide-ranging advice on the regulatory and commercial aspects of both retail and wholesale finance products.
This opportunity will involve the successful candidate advising major lenders on all aspects of retail finance products, including: advertising (press, radio, point of sale and television); contract terms and conditions and consumer credit act regulated products. The Northampton team also operates a specialist wholesale finance function serving many of the UKs largest captive and noncaptive motor finance houses.
As a result, the successful candidate will need to show an awareness and broad understanding of the principles involved in secured lending. Much of this teams success is derived from exceptional client service and commitment to provide technically accurate but highly commercial legal advice. It is therefore expected that you will take a role in the team's extensive client relationship management and business development activities.
This will include (and require) the willingness to travel to clients and to carry out secondment work. To develop your management skills you'll be tasked with providing supervision to unqualified members of the team within a supportive environment.
To be successful in this role you are likely to have previous commercial experience, be a team player, outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic about client service and business development.
